The objectives of Islamic law emphasize the necessity of working to preserve religion, soul, mind, and money

Dr. Shawqi Allam, Mufti of the Republic and Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies in the World, said: “Reality dictates to us the importance of examining the social changes and moral developments brought about by conflicts and wars and the resulting serious negative effects on individuals and societies afflicted by these conflicts.”

The Mufti of the Republic added: “The purposes of the purified Islamic law emphasize the necessity of working to preserve the religion, the soul, the mind, lineage, and money, and they are the universal purposes that the divine laws came to preserve, and human constitutions do not differ on the necessity of preserving them,” stressing that caring for These goals and their preservation can only be achieved through moral and ethical commitment that does not allow the principle of aggression, nor does it permit injustice and aggression under any of the pretexts that aggressor countries use to fight these wars and impose them in reality.

This came in his speech that He delivered it at the opening session of the Fourth International Conference of the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Cairo, which was held under the title: “Ethical and Legislative Principles in Times of Conflicts and Wars.”

The Mufti explained that moral obligation prevents the use of force wherever discussions and negotiations are beneficial, and does not allow Using excessive force is a case of self-defense, and all of this falls under the rule of committing lesser harm in order to prevent greater harm, and weighing between interests and harms. Likewise, commitment to moral values holds us responsible for supporting the afflicted peoples and mitigating the effects of aggression, by all possible means in order to alleviate the suffering of the peoples. oppressed people who suffer from the scourge of conflicts, wars, and strife.

The Mufti of the Republic stressed that working to protect the innocent afflicted and affected by wars and conflicts, and examining ways and means of delivering aid to them, and mitigating the effects of aggression against them, are among the most important reflections of moral and ethical commitment towards These are innocent people, and this does not contradict the endeavor to prevent aggression and stop wars and conflicts through diplomatic efforts.

He pointed out that reality testifies that Egypt, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – may God Almighty protect him – will exert all its efforts, exert all its power, and use all its available capabilities of In order to relieve the suffering and injustice of the afflicted peoples, and all efforts are being made to stop the aggression, and questioning Egypt’s historical role is a matter of astonishment and sadness, but this slander against Egypt will not discourage its resolve or the resolve of its leader from carrying out a duty dictated to us by historical, civilizational, regional and religious data.< /p>

The Mufti appreciated the moral obligation that Egypt has always undertaken towards its brothers, towards its neighbors, and towards the peoples of the entire world. Therefore, the moral obligation also dictates that we support the Egyptian role towards its neighbors, and we see with our own eyes that Egypt opens its arms to everyone and extends a helping hand to everyone, and is not prevented from doing so by any economic conditions or international pressures that are not hidden from anyone with insight and a sound mind.

The Mufti of the Republic affirmed that the moral and ethical commitment undertaken by Egypt and its president, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is a clear indication that Egypt does not give anything precedence over principles, values and morals, and does not allow itself to bear a shameful historical responsibility towards its neighbors in exchange for some fleeting material interests and gains. Whatever the circumstances and whatever the pressures, the flag of Egypt, the country of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, will remain flying high and a beacon of values and morals, a safe haven for every person seeking security and safety, and a support for every oppressed person faced with difficult circumstances.

At the end of his speech, he praised the efforts made by the college. Sharia and law in Cairo, describing it as one of the castles of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif that defends the purified Sharia and protects to preserve it in its origins, branches and purposes. It works to protect and preserve our Islamic heritage, and makes great efforts to link this heritage, especially our jurisprudential and fatwa heritage, to reality. Contemporary for the new calamities, facts and complex issues that require more work and diligence so that the pure Sharia is linked to the reality in which people live.

He also extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to all the institutions of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, led by the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, saying: “I value every effort made by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif to protect the oppressed everywhere, and to prevent the dire effects of wars and conflicts.” He added: “We all hope in God, Blessed and Most High, that security and peace will prevail over the peoples of the region and the world, and I ask God Almighty.” The great thing is to repel the plots of every sinful aggressor, to provide relief to the oppressed, to have mercy on the martyrs, to heal the wounded, and to restore justice to its people. Indeed, He is the Protector of that and the One who is able to do it.
