Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi inaugurates "Ajman Events Calendar" In the Arabian Travel Market
Ajman, 8th May / WAM / Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, today inaugurated the “Ajman Events Calendar” during his visit to the Ajman platform at the Arabian Travel Market, whose activities conclude tomorrow, Thursday, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Ajman Events Calendar includes a wide variety of cultural festivals, artistic performances, sports and entertainment activities that suit all groups and tastes, making it an ideal destination for visitors and the local community alike.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said that the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition in Dubai is the most prominent event in the field of travel and tourism, and the participation of the Emirate of Ajman this year in the exhibition reflects its commitment to developing and developing tourism events and activities, which constitutes a vital basis for improving the level of services and providing them with international standards. This is in light of the significant progress achieved by the Emirate of Ajman in various sectors, especially the service sector.
Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi praised the great efforts made by the work team at the Ajman Tourism Development Department to expand the scope of activities and events in the emirate, expressing his optimism for achieving more achievements in the future.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, said that the Department is announcing at the Arabian Travel Market 2024 the “Ajman Events Calendar” and the activities that can be done in Ajman, indicating that the various activities meet the needs of visitors and are also consistent with the vision of Ajman 2030 as a destination. Dynamic and comprehensive.
Among the most prominent events is the Ajman Car Festival, a year-round celebration that showcases the latest innovations and excitement in the automotive field at various locations across Ajman.
The events also include sports competitions such as the Ajman Running Race and the Electronic Games Championship, in addition to cultural events such as the Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, the Folklore Strings Festival, the “Rhyme Revealing” poetry evening, and the Ajman Food Festival.
The “Ajman Events Calendar” includes sports challenges such as cycling, duathlon and triathlon races, and the Ajman Half Marathon, which highlights Ajman’s commitment to sports and its encouragement of a healthy life, as this type of event is considered part of its efforts to enhance awareness of the importance of physical activity and maintaining health.
These activities culminate in a large fireworks display on New Year’s Eve, providing a wonderful welcome to 2025.
The Ajman Tourism Development Department also showcases a range of attractive activities in Ajman, including luxury, shopping and retail experiences.
