– Expected results of the Dubai Commercial Transport Strategy 2030:
– 16.8 billion dirhams, doubling the direct economic contribution.
– 75% increase in the rate of technology adoption in the technical infrastructure.
– 30% reduction in carbon emissions.

Objectives of the traffic flow plan:
– Improving the time of public transport trips.
– Improving traffic around schools.
– Reducing traffic density by taking advantage of flexible working hours.

Dubai, May 8 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, confirmed that Dubai, with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, is strengthening its position. His Highness said: Dubai is keen to invest in the future and lead global tourism, with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announcing the largest airport project in the world in Dubai, with an investment worth 128 billion dirhams and a capacity to serve 260 million passengers, giving an unprecedented new momentum at the local and Arab levels. And international.

His Highness added: Dubai has an advanced, integrated transportation system that represents a bridge between the north and the south, the east and the west, and provides advanced infrastructure by land, sea and air within the reach of travelers and various local companies and major international companies that make Dubai their headquarters for expansion and growth.

His Highness noted the importance of economic diversification at various levels, saying: Dubai today is also a global destination for transformative projects, especially in the field of the digital economy. It provides an advanced digital system, attracts international skills and expertise from various parts of the world, creates leadership opportunities in promising future technology sectors, and innovates in the uses of data that form a basic foundation for thoughtful government policies with a tangible strategic impact.

During the meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of community participation in designing the future of Dubai, and said: Our goal is to achieve a balance between human-centered economic and social development, and by involving the Dubai community in designing its future, to accelerate the achievement of our future plans and directions that establish Dubai’s location as a preferred choice for living, working, visiting and innovating. And readiness for the future.

This came during the Executive Council meeting held today, Wednesday, at the Arabian Travel Market exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Center, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council.

His Excellency Essam Kazim, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, affiliated with the Department of Economy and Tourism, reviewed a report highlighting the qualitative performance of the tourism sector in Dubai, which continues to rise in the list of the most attractive global destinations for tourists through a diverse file of options that suit their various categories. Including leisure tourism, cultural tourism, environmental and sustainable tourism, medical tourism, and event and conference tourism.

The Council also reviewed the results of the tourism sector indicators in the emirate, which indicate the continued growth of global demand for what Dubai offers in the tourism and travel sector, which Al Maktoum International Airport will contribute to meeting, which will be the largest in the world and will include, upon completion, 400 gates and five runways, thus enhancing its path. Towards achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, making the city among the top three tourist destinations in the world.

The Executive Council adopted the Commercial Transport Strategy for the Emirate of Dubai 2030, in implementation of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the direct contribution to the emirate’s economy by approximately 16.8 billion dirhams, and raise the rate of technology adoption in infrastructure by 75% from what it is currently, and will work to reduce carbon emissions by a percentage. 30%, improving operating efficiency by 10%.

The commercial transportation strategy represents a reflection of Dubai’s approach to facilitating doing business, and was developed by involving many private sector companies, distributors and retail companies in the field of commercial transportation. The strategy aims to adopt major projects and programs over the next seven years, to support the growth of the sector and the companies operating in it and raise the competitiveness of the sector.

The Executive Council also approved a traffic flow plan in Dubai with the aim of enhancing traffic efficiency and ensuring ease of movement in the emirate, which contributes to achieving a balance between business efficiency and quality of life. It includes implementing a comprehensive plan for public bus priority routes in a number of vital streets in Dubai in an effort to continue improving time. Public transport trips by up to 59%.

The plan also includes developing school transportation to encourage students to use school transportation, which will contribute to improving traffic around school catchment areas by up to 13%.

In addition, the plan seeks to expand the application of the flexible working hours and remote work policy at the emirate level and encourage the government and private sectors to benefit from it, in a way that helps reduce traffic density.

(Data centers to enhance Dubai’s competitiveness)
The Executive Council also approved the strategic direction for the data center economy in Dubai, with the aim of establishing Dubai’s position as a leading destination for the economy of the future supported by emerging technologies, and in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to raise the productivity of the emirate’s economy by 50% through adopting digital solutions and innovation.

This trend will develop high-performance computing, enhance the use of liquid cooling systems, and provide advanced data centers with high capabilities while relying on renewable energy in various operations, in addition to creating a sustainable record of the absorptive capacity of data center supplies and current and future cloud services in the Emirate of Dubai.

This development will contribute to making Dubai a leading destination for sustainable data centers that are ready for the uses and applications of artificial intelligence by the year 2028. It will also enhance Dubai’s readiness for the next generation of information network technologies, “Web 3.0”, “metaverse” and “smart cities” technologies, which reflects Dubai’s global position as a city of the future and an inspiring model in digital transformation and the digital economy.

The strategic direction will also contribute to increasing the absorptive capacity by 5 times the current capacity, and enhancing the added value by 14.3 billion dirhams annually, in addition to strengthening Dubai’s position as a regional incubator for the data industry, which has become an important factor in encouraging growth in all economic sectors.

The project supports the exceptional capabilities that the emirate possesses today to attract global investments in the field of artificial intelligence, and to support investment in data centers and cloud computing, such as advanced infrastructure, diversity of options, and a suitable climate for investors.

The Dubai Digital Authority and a number of concerned authorities will supervise the implementation of many initiatives emerging from this strategic direction.

(Community participation)
The Executive Council adopted the community participation policy, which comes in support of the 33 pillars of the Dubai Social Agenda, as it reinforces the participatory government model in Dubai out of its belief in the pivotal role that community members can play by involving them in the core of public policy-making processes, local legislation, and government services.

The policy will achieve the goals of ensuring the participation of community members in designing policies and legislation, developing government services and improving their quality and effectiveness by identifying and providing community needs, enhancing innovation and creativity in decision-making processes, and developing the foundations of cooperation and partnership with the various groups concerned in order to ensure the provision of all elements of well-being for all those He lives in Dubai.

The new policy, which was developed in cooperation between the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, the Dubai Digital Authority, the Supreme Legislation Committee, and the Department of Finance, adopts the principles of inclusion, empowerment, sustainability, cooperation, and transparency in communication with various members of society.
