The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services reviews the transport system’s preparations to receive pilgrims in Medina

The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, conducted an inspection tour of the work of the transportation and logistics system in Medina, to determine the preparations for receiving pilgrims to the Holy House of God.

 As part of the inspection tour that aims to ensure readiness During the Hajj season, His Excellency was briefed on the progress of work at the Al-Haramain Express Train Station, in addition to the “Sabil” air dome. In Medina, which contributes to facilitating processing operations and ensuring that packages arrive quickly and efficiently, with the aim of meeting the needs of pilgrims and providing a smooth and safe logistical experience.

 His Excellency stressed, during his visit to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the importance of integrating efforts between… All sectors concerned to facilitate the arrival and reception of pilgrims with complete ease, stressing the importance of preparing all means to ensure their comfort and security.

 He concluded his inspection tour by visiting the public transportation pick-up point from the Civil Mosque to the Sayyid al-Shuhada area, where he viewed the equipment. To facilitate the movement of pilgrims and ensure their safety, pointing out the importance of ensuring a comfortable and safe transportation experience for all pilgrims.

 It is noteworthy that the transportation system is one of the most important possible entities that contribute to serving the guests of God by providing all means of land, air, sea, and rail transportation. Through the National Transport and Logistics Services Strategy, which was launched in mid-2021, it aims to empower many sectors and achieve their goals, including the “Guests of God Programme.” And achieving the goals of Hajj and Umrah, as this is achieved through the availability of a high-level road network in addition to preparing airports, raising capacity, and providing multiple modes of transportation.
