NBK Academy Welcomes the 29th Wave of Trainees

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohammed Al-Othman, CEO of the Retail and Digital Banking Group at the National Bank of Kuwait, Mr. Mohammed Al-Kharafi, Chief Operating Officer – Head of Group Operations and Information Technology, Mr. Ahmed Bouresli, General Manager – Corporate Banking Group, along with a number of managers. Executives and talent management officials.

The program will last for 7 months, from May to November 2024, during which the trainees will receive intensive training in technological, behavioral and other skills that will allow them to build a prosperous career at the National Bank of Kuwait.

It also covers various aspects of banking including key banking principles, risk management, financial accounting, marketing, and negotiation, as well as training on creativity, innovation, design thinking, and increasing productivity. After that, the trainees will receive intensive training on how the branches work for a period of 5 weeks before receiving field training in the branches of the National Bank of Kuwait for one month.

In the final part of the program, trainees will be introduced to all NBK groups and departments through field visits to gain a better understanding of the banking sector.

Participants will also present new ideas to heads of various departments through the “Innovation Challenge” program, which aims to stimulate creativity among trainees and provide innovative solutions for the various training aspects covered by the academy.
