"Etihad Airways" Expands interline agreements with 5 carriers

Abu Dhabi, 3 May / WAM / Etihad Airways has launched mutual interline partnerships with five new carriers, expanding travel options for its guests across its growing global network.

Etihad Airways has partnerships with Kam Air in Afghanistan, Sky Express in Greece, Rex Airlines in Australia, Jeju Air in Korea, and Myanmar International Airlines.

Under the interline agreement, customers of all these carriers receive mutually enhanced connections across the carriers’ network of destinations, allowing guests to book their entire journey on a single ticket and seamlessly check in baggage to their final destinations.

Eric Dee, Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer, said: “We will continue to expand our network of destinations to promote more seamless connections across our network, giving our guests a wider range of travel options. Thanks to the five interline agreements, it has become easier for guests of all carriers.”

These new partnerships provide a range of new options for Etihad Airways guests.

At Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, guests from all over the world can now fly with CamAir flights to Kabul and then onward to Afghanistan.

As for guests traveling on two Etihad Airways flights to Athens, they can connect their flights to 28 destinations in Greece and its picturesque islands in the Mediterranean Sea with Sky Express.

Rex Airlines provides passengers with access to 22 destinations in Australia via Etihad Airways’ destinations in Sydney and Melbourne, including Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.

With Jeju Air, guests can continue their journey from Seoul to 27 destinations across seven countries in North Asia.

Connecting flights with Myanmar International Airlines will provide better access to Yeongun and Mandalay via Etihad Airways’ destinations in North Asia.

Today, Etihad has 123 interline agreements, code partnerships and strategic agreements with airlines around the world.
