"Global health" Calls for medical supplies to arrive in Gaza

The World Health Organization announced that the continued closure of the Rafah crossing and the inability to reach the Kerem Shalom crossing, increases the shortage of medical supplies for emergency teams in Gaza.

The organization explained in a statement: The last medical supply operations had entered Gaza City before May 6, noting that more is needed, especially fuel, to operate hospitals and move ambulances.

She added that fuel supplies in the city require between 1.4 to 1.8 thousand liters of fuel per month, and until yesterday, since the closure of the crossing, no entry into Rafah had occurred. It is only 59 thousand liters, which is not enough.

It is worth noting that the World Health Organization was forced to suspend its missions to northern Gaza for a week due to… Insecurity and lack of fuel, with the presence of Israeli occupation forces tanks near Al Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, affecting access to it.
