At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education stressed the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and Britain, praising the increase in bilateral cooperation. between the two countries in the field of university education, stressing the necessity of exchanging scientific expertise between Egyptian universities and their British counterparts. To enhance expertise between the two sides.
 
Dr. Ayman Ashour pointed out that Egypt has witnessed a major boom in the fields of higher education and scientific research, within the framework of implementing the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, pointing out He pointed out that many projects have been implemented in public, private, technological, and private universities, and branches of international universities, in addition to academies and institutes, in addition to the continuous development of existing universities, raising the status of Egyptian universities in international classifications, and the continuous development of curricula, indicating the interest of the Egyptian state. With the file of establishing branches of internationally prestigious foreign universities in Egypt, as one of the new and distinguished tributaries that provide opportunities to obtain higher education at an international level through global partnerships with major international universities in Egypt, which contributes to improving the educational and research systems.
 
The Minister pointed out that cooperation with the British University of Exeter comes within the framework of the Ministry’s strategic plan to encourage the highest-ranked universities in the world to cooperate with Egyptian universities, while benefiting from foreign expertise, exchanging science and knowledge, and enhancing opportunities for obtaining… Distinguished foreign education and obtaining international certificates from the home university, in addition to contributing to attracting students from surrounding countries; To benefit from the availability of foreign education opportunities in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
 
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between Egyptian universities and the British University of Exeter, especially in priority areas that serve the development plan. sustainable development (Egypt Vision 2030), and benefiting from the joint experiences in the fields of higher education and scientific research, especially with regard to linking higher education and scientific research with the needs of industry and the requirements of the labor market, whether at the local, regional or international level, as well as benefiting from the experience of the University of Exeter in enhancing cooperation with… Partners in industrial institutions, as well as continuing education, to bridge the gap in the labor market and qualify Egyptian university graduates to compete in the regional and international labor market.
 
For its part, the Exeter University delegation praised the level of distinguished relations that links Egypt and Britain, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation in implementing joint scientific projects between the two countries, praising the support of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to invest in education and strengthen partnerships with international institutions.
