Newborn found dead in Staten Island NYCHA complex; parents being questioned

WEST BRIGHTON, Staten Island (WABC) — Police are investigating the death of a one-month-old baby at a NYCHA complex on Staten Island.

The parents of the newborn are currently being questioned.

Officers responded to a 911 call Saturday morning about an unresponsive baby at the West Brighton Houses.

It is unclear how the baby died. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy.

Police say investigators saw signs of trauma on the baby’s left arm.
