VPN Disruptions Follow Latest Windows Update, Microsoft Responds

Problems have been reported on Windows 11 versions 23H2, 22H2, 21H2, Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012 R2, 2012, 2008 R2, and 2008.

As of now, the cause of the disruptions remains unidentified, and Microsoft has yet to provide a fix for the problems. It is anticipated that a solution will be released in the next scheduled update. In the interim, developers recommend utilizing built-in tools to address the temporary disruptions.

Users also have the option to roll back to a previous version of the operating system; however, this may result in the loss of recent fixes for other bugs and security vulnerabilities included in the patch with the disrupted VPN connection.
