EU calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to stop fighting –

The European Union called on Armenia and Azerbaijan, in a statement, to cease hostilities.

According to the statement, the EU calls on Baku and Yerevan for an immediate cessation of the ongoing hostilities between the Armenian and Azerbaijani forces around the Lachin Corridor and other places along the line of contact.

The European Union regretted that these “collisions have already led to human losses and injuries.”

The statement also notes that “it is very important to achieve de-escalation, full respect for the ceasefire and a return to the negotiating table to find agreed solutions.”

“The European Union remains committed to helping resolve tensions and continuing its engagement in sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” the EU added.
