"Dubai Culture"Museums are important centers for preserving cultural heritage

DUBAI, 17th May / WAM / Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, stressed the importance of the cultural and educational experiences that museums provide, capable of enriching individuals’ knowledge and raising their level of awareness of heritage and its various elements.

On the occasion of International Museum Day, she said, “Museums constitute important centers for preserving cultural heritage, strengthening the relationship of generations with the cultural heritage, introducing them to authentic values, and enabling them to explore the ancient past in different ways, which establishes national identity in their souls, and encourages them to contribute to shaping the features of the future and anticipating it.”

She pointed out that Dubai’s museums have turned into distinguished cultural tourism destinations thanks to the inspiring programs and initiatives they offer, which encourage the spirit of innovation among generations and motivate them to research and learn in all heritage and historical fields.

She stressed the Authority’s keenness to activate the role of museums in supporting cultural tourism and enhancing the presence of local heritage on the global map, based on its cultural responsibility aimed at preserving and preserving tangible and intangible heritage.
