The Kingdom receives the first pilgrim flights this year at Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina

The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdel Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat, received today the first flight carrying pilgrims to the Holy House of God, coming from the Republic of India via Saudi Arabian Airlines, carrying 283 pilgrims on board.

 

 The Minister welcomed the guests of God during their arrival, stressing the commitment of the transportation and logistics system to the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide the best services to the guests of God from their arrival and during their stay in the Kingdom to perform rituals until their departure to their countries, according to the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

This preparation comes through providing 7,700 flights through 6 airports, and preparing more than 27,000 buses, with the aim of facilitating the movement of pilgrims and enriching their blessed journey, highlighting the vital role played by the system and its integration in accompanying pilgrims since their arrival in the Kingdom and their passage through the Holy Sites via train. Al-Haramain and Al-Mashaer, which provides more than 5,000 trips during the Hajj season, until they complete their rituals and leave for their countries with ease and reassurance, with multiple and interconnected means of transportation that achieve the highest standards of comfort and safety.
