Russia is developing a new generation of civil transport ships
Moscow, May 20 / WAM / The Russian company Seatech announced that it has begun developing a new generation of civil transport ships, within the framework of the government program dedicated to improving transport operations in the regions of the Russian Primorsky Territory.
A statement issued by the company, reported by the “Russia Today” website, said that the new ship, which began manufacturing at the Russian “Livadia” shipbuilding and repair yard, will be launched into the water in 2025, explaining that it will be equipped with special water wings that will help improve its movement and increase its speed.
Each new generation ship will be 32.8 meters long and 10.6 meters wide. Its water displacement will be equivalent to 140 tons, its speed will reach 35 knots, and its capacity will be 200 passengers in addition to a crew of 4 people.
