Ethics is the cornerstone on which ancient human civilizations were built

The Friday sermon today at Al-Azhar Mosque was delivered by Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir, Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Al-Azhar University, and its topic revolved around “The importance of morals in building nations.”

At the beginning of the sermon, His Eminence Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir said that morals It is of great importance in Islam. Creation is from religion as the soul is from the body. Islam without creation is a body without a soul. Creation is everything. Nations and civilizations are established by morals and lost by their loss of morals. If we look at the Islamic religion, we find it divided into three sections: A belief that we find represented in the monotheism of God Almighty. And the Almighty, and Sharia: which are represented in acts of worship such as prayer, fasting, zakat, Hajj, and others, and morals: which we find in virtuous words and behavior in dealing with others.

Al-Ghafir explained that each of these three sections represents a third of Islam, while the doctrine represents a third. Islam, so Surah Al-Ikhlas was considered one-third of the Qur’an because it included the doctrinal aspect. On the authority of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri: A man heard a man reciting “Say: He is God, One” repeating it, so when the morning came, he came to the Messenger of God He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, mentioned that to him as if a man used to say it, and he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: " “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, it is equivalent to a third of the Qur’an.” Likewise, acts of worship are equivalent to a third of Islam, and morals – which some people think have nothing to do with religion – It is equal to a third of Islam, as he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, told us that the goal of his mission was to instill good morals in the members of society, and he said: “I was sent only to complete good deeds.” Ethics.

The preacher at Al-Azhar Mosque added that good morals have many virtues and many fruits, including, but not limited to, first: that the believer is virtuous He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, The believer will realize you with the goodness of his creation. The age of creation: It is the weight of the servant of the servant on the Day of Resurrection: The prayers and peace be upon him: & laquo; Of good character, and God hates the indecent and indecent.” And on the authority of Anas: The Messenger of God – may God bless him and grant him peace – met Abu Dharr, and he said: “Ya O Abu Dharr, shall I not point out to you two qualities that are lighter on the back and heavier on the scale than others? » He said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: “You must have good manners and remain silent for a long time, and by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, no creation has done anything like them.”

And The Al-Azhar Mosque preacher continued that one of the fruits of good character is the attainment of blessing in homes and lifetimes. On the authority of Aisha, the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said to her: Whoever is given his share of kindness has been given his share of the good of this world and the hereafter, and the connection of family ties and family ties Good manners and good neighborliness help people live in homes and increase their lifespan, and one of them is that a person of good morals attains perfect faith and love for the Most Gracious through: My father Hurairah – may God be pleased with him – said: He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The most perfect of the believers is the one with the best character.” And in the hadith: “The most beloved of God’s servants to God are those with the best character.”

At the end of the sermon, His Eminence Dr. Rabie Al-Ghafir stated that the person with good character deserves this uncle To Paradise. He, may the peace and blessings of God be upon him, says: “I am the leader of a house in Paradise is for the one who abandons quarreling, even if he is right, and a house in the middle of Paradise is for the one who abandons lying, even if he is joking, and a house in the highest part of Paradise “For one who has good character,” and on the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, was asked: What is the most common thing that brings people into Paradise? He said: “Fear God.” “And good manners.” Also, good character is one of the reasons for being close to the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, on the Day of Resurrection: He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Shall I not inform you of the most beloved of you to me and the closest of you to me in assembly on the Day of Resurrection?” Resurrection?» The people remained silent, so he repeated it two or three times. The people said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: «The best of you in character&raquo» And he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Indeed, those of you who are closest to me in terms of morals are those who are well-connected, those who are familiar and familiar with each other,” indicating that the goodness of hope is Therefore, it is not only his prayers and fasting that can be measured, but one must look at his character, morals, and his dealings with people. On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr – Radi God bless them – he said: «The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was not obscene or indecent, so he, may God bless him and grant him peace, was  He advised his companions to behave well. One day he said to Mu’adh: “Fear God wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed and it will erase it, and treat people with good morals.” ».
