Cassie Ventura’s Husband Responds to Footage of Alleged Diddy Assault

Cassie Ventura‘s husband Alex Fine issued a statement on violence against women after a video that apparently depicts Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting Ventura surfaced on Friday.

In leaked hotel footage posted on CNN, Combs appears to grab, shove and kick Ventura, who filed a lawsuit against Combs in November last year. Ventura and the hip-hop mogul were in a relationship for over a decade before Fine and Ventura wed in 2019.

Fine penned a lengthy letter that he shared on Instagram with the caption noting he had written it “awhile back,” but the “words ring true not just today but everyday.” The caption also included a number for a domestic violence hotline.

Fine’s letter starts by addressing its target audience — women and children. He goes on to say, “Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men. As men, violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable. Check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the upmost regard.” He continues, “To the abusers, you’re done, you’re not safe anymore, you’re not protected anymore, the men by your side are just as weak, you’re so miserable with yourself that death would be considered a kindness.”

The leaked footage of the assault matches allegations made in Ventura’s lawsuit outlining an incident that occurred at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. Ventura’s complaint claims Combs paid the hotel $50,000 to obtain the video from the incident, which is just one of the many startling allegations that Ventura made against Combs in her suit, including accusations of rape and abuse.

Meanwhile, Combs has vehemently denied the long list of allegations of sexual assault pointed against him that have surfaced throughout the last few months.

“For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,” Combs wrote in December. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
