Health raises awareness of 103 thousand people against the dangers of addiction under the slogan: "More valuable than others"
The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of awareness to 103,000 citizens from the target groups, through several seminars and awareness activities organized by the Ministry to raise the level of awareness among adolescents and young people within the campaign (You are more valuable than others), in its tenth year in a row, which aims to raise awareness Students and youth against the dangers of abuse and addiction, according to the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population. Through the Department of Addiction Treatment and the Department of Children and Adolescents, of the General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, it targeted young people in public and private universities, schools, associations, institutions, youth centers, clubs, and churches in various governorates.
He pointed out Abdul Ghaffar, pointed out that the campaign comes as an extension of the bonds of cooperation between many agencies and bodies, including (the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Better Life Center affiliated with the Bishopric of Church Services, UNICEF, and many other partner agencies. 
For her part, Dr. Manen Abdel Maqsoud, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, said that the campaign provided 486 educational seminars, in addition to training and qualifying 1,321 cadres affiliated with various agencies, To implement awareness-raising content specifically prepared to suit the adolescent group and provide various activities that suit their needs and help raise their awareness and teach them skills that help and protect them from the dangers of abuse and addiction.
Dr. Manen indicated Abdel Maqsoud pointed out that the campaign was launched through the hospitals of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, at the level of the governorates of the Republic, where the Secretariat organized many recreational, cultural, artistic, sports and religious activities inside the Secretariat’s hospitals and centers or outside it through culture houses and sports clubs.
