office "Homeland pride" Celebrates World Occupational Health and Safety Day

ABU DHABI, April 29, 2017 (WAM) – The Fakhr Al Watan Office shared with the world its celebration of World Occupational Health and Safety Day, which falls on April 28 of each year, and aims to promote the concept of occupational health and safety in various work environments around the world.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Pride of the Nation” Office, said on this occasion: “I would like on this occasion to express my deep appreciation to the workers on the front lines who tirelessly dedicate themselves to ensuring the health and safety of our communities.”

He added: “In times of peace and prosperity, their contributions often go unnoticed…but in times of crisis, it is their unwavering commitment and flexibility that is clearly evident. During the ‘Roaring’ depression that surprised the UAE with unprecedented heavy rains, Frontline workers appeared as true heroes, risking their health and safety in order to protect others, pointing out that their intensified efforts contributed to the speed and accuracy of dealing with water puddles, cleaning the streets, and providing assistance to community members.”
His Excellency said: “On World Occupational Health and Safety Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the invaluable contributions made by frontline workers and to honor their unwavering dedication to their duty. Let us acknowledge the sacrifices they make, the risks they face, and the challenges they overcome in their work.” Their endeavor to achieve their noble mission and perform their duties towards the nation.”
