Urgent.. The Journalists Syndicate will hold a meeting to discuss the rights and challenges of people with disabilities next Sunday
The Social and Health Care Committee of the Journalists Syndicate, headed by Mohamed El-Garhi, will hold its second meeting to discuss the rights and challenges of people with disabilities who are members of the Syndicate and their families next Sunday.
The agenda of the meeting includes reviewing and following up on the implementation of 14 recommendations that were agreed upon at the meeting. The first is headed by Khaled Al-Balshi, head of the Journalists Syndicate, and considers any new suggestions from colleagues.
The committee had begun implementing some recommendations, the most important of which was creating a database for journalists with disabilities and their families, and issuing a decision from the Syndicate Council. Implementing the General Assembly’s decision to disburse a monthly income improvement contribution equal to the unemployment benefit, and other recommendations are being implemented
