The Minister of Health opens a pediatric intensive care unit at Al-Qanater Charity Hospital

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, opened today, Saturday, a pediatric intensive care unit with a capacity of 30 beds at Al-Qanater Al-Khairiya Central Hospital in Qalyubia Governorate, in the presence of Major General Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, as part of the state’s efforts to support the capabilities of the medical sector and improve the medical services provided to service recipients. Health.

 

 

This came during his field tour, today, Saturday, to inspect the progress of work in the intensive care complex, which was developed and equipped with a number of hospitals. In partnership with the private sector and civil society, as a combined model for a large number of care beds within one hospital, medical cases are referred to it through the emergency room of the Ministry of Health and Population.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that The unit includes 30 beds for pediatric intensive care, equipped in accordance with the standards of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and international standards, to provide health services for critical medical cases, especially health care services for Palestinian children injured as a result of the recent events in the Gaza Strip.

He confirmed « Abdul Ghaffar» The Minister was keen to inspect the children’s rooms to check on their health condition, and to ensure the availability of all medical services, as all children are subject to the supervision and follow-up of a group of intensive care professors, neonatologists and pediatric specialists, doctors with extensive experience in cases of premature, incomplete and critical cases.

«Abdul Ghaffar» continued The Minister stressed the importance of cooperation between the various governmental and private sectors of the state  and civil society, noting that unity comes within the humanitarian initiative “Our Children are Life.” Which aims to treat 1,000 Palestinian children, and the unit can also receive cases that need advanced medical care from all over Egypt.

It is noteworthy that the “Our Children are Life” initiative It seeks to treat 1,000 injured children in Gaza, and to provide everything necessary to support the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Health in this context. These services included providing comprehensive medical care, including therapeutic services, medicines, and surgical supplies, in addition to providing ambulances to transport critical cases. To Egyptian hospitals, the initiative’s efforts included an air evacuation of 28 foster infants, who are currently receiving the necessary care in Egyptian hospitals, and the number of children who have been treated so far has exceeded more than 440 children.
