Minister of Solidarity: Opening an exceptional sub-account within the accounts of the Arab Fund for Social Work in support of Gaza

Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity and Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, announced the opening of an exceptional sub-account within the accounts of the Arab Fund for Social Work. In support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of Resolution No. 1003 issued by the 43rd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs regarding providing support and relief to the Gaza Strip.< /span>

 

Al-Qabbaj said – in a statement today, Sunday, that this account aims to provide support and relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as follows: (Account No. 4730120000002864 in US dollars) – (Account No. 4730001000002690 in Egyptian pounds) – (Account No. 4730130000000208 in euros).< /span>

 

She explained that there are enormous challenges facing civilians in the Gaza Strip, and from this standpoint, the Arab Republic of Egypt has directed all efforts and resources to provide the necessary support and meet the needs of the population in this afflicted area, declaring a commitment to providing support and assistance to them in these difficult circumstances and working with full force to continue the humanitarian bridge. Of humanitarian and relief aid to reach every person within the Strip.

 

She added that in light of the role of the Egyptian Red Crescent in assisting the authorities in times of disasters and crises, the Society worked with all its energy to promote the construction of the humanitarian bridge, and played a vital role in coordinating and responding to support the Gaza Strip in cooperation with local and international bodies and organizations concerned with relief; With the aim of providing urgent humanitarian aid and support in several aspects, including coordination, as the Egyptian Red Crescent is in continuous coordination with the Palestinian Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross, and with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, and international organizations, to determine the priorities and needs of our people in the Gaza Strip and determine Urgent ones and provide appropriate support.

 

The Minister of Solidarity continued, “The Egyptian Red Crescent also provides urgent humanitarian aid to affected people in Gaza, including food, water, medicines, and basic medical supplies, as 6 logistical areas and 9 warehouses have been established that receive aid from all countries and manage the logistics system in a highly efficient manner.” In addition to the humanitarian kitchen, which contributes to preparing breakfast and suhoor meals and transporting them daily across the land bridge between the logistical centers of the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Gaza Strip, in addition to the Egyptian Red Crescent’s participation in international humanitarian efforts to support Gaza, and contributing to directing international donations and aid to meet the urgent and sustainable needs in “Gaza”.
