Fears that Briton is among five aid workers dead in Gaza including nationals from Ireland, Poland and Australia after ‘airstrike’

Five western aid workers including a Briton are feared dead in Gaza after reports of an airstrike.

The volunteers were killed in a strike on a vehicle in Gaza’s Deir al-Balah, Palestinian media reported, attributing the attack to Israeli forces.

Four of the aid workers are believed to be foreign nations from Poland, Australia, Ireland and the UK.

The volunteers are understood to have been working with the US-based international aid organization World Central Kitchen and in a vehicle belonging to the not-for-profit group at the time of the attack.

Harrowing images shared online appeared to show the bodies of the deceased.

Israel’s army has not yet commented on the incident.
