Mets star Pete Alonso joins Zach Bryan on stage at UBS Arena – following in Bruce Springsteen’s footsteps – but his New York team endure awful 3-0 start to MLB season vs. Milwaukee Brewers

Zach Bryan provided Pete Alonso with some already welcome respite from the baseball season on Saturday night as he brought the New York Mets star out for his song ‘Revival’ at UBS Arena.

Alonso had earlier hit his first home run of the season for the Mets in a 7-6 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field.

Alonso was again on the losing side on Sunday, the Brewers running out 4-1 victors in New York but Alonso managed two hits and his performance was clearly not impacted by how he spent his Saturday night.

Footage of the 29-year-old slugger went viral on social media on Saturday night as he joined Bryan for the encore of his show.

The baseball star was another high profile name to join Bryan after he brought out Bruce Springsteen in Brooklyn last week.

Speaking Sunday after the latest Mets loss, Alonso urged his team to stick together after such a difficult start.

He said: ‘Definitely not ideal and definitely not what we wanted. We just need to keep playing hard and come ready to go tomorrow. We’ll get right back at it.’

The Mets are back in action Monday, hosting Detroit Tigers for three games.

The Tigers are 2-1 after their opening three-game series against Chicago White Sox.

Alonso is in the final year of his Mets contract and there is growing speculation that it will be his last with the team.
