Mufti of the Republic: For reading the Qur’an from the Qur’an, the reward is doubled for constantly looking at the Noble Qur’an

Dr. Shawqi Allam – Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies in the World, said: Taking the path of takfir towards the believers and multiplying its reasons is an act that contradicts the prophetic path indicated by the legal texts of having good thoughts and abstaining from takfir of everyone who uttered the two testimonies.

With the journalist Hamdi Rizk, who was shown on Sada El Balad satellite channel, adding, His Eminence: The ruling to declare any person a disbeliever can only be made by the judiciary, and it is not completed except after careful verification of the matter, and it is not permissible for any person to declare a person a disbeliever.

< p>He emphasized  “The doctrines of jurisprudence are among the prominent landmarks in the history of Islamic jurisprudence, and the cornerstone that has preserved this science according to fixed and clear standards over the long centuries, as these doctrines have preserved the religion for us and lifted from us the burden of consideration and reasoning that takes years and years of strenuous effort and extreme fatigue.” It preserved for us acts of worship, dealings, and all the affairs of life that we perform while we are reassured of the correctness of what they said about them that came to us, despite the differences in methods of reasoning and differences in points of view that they included. All of this does not prevent us from interacting with the events and developments that occur. These schools of thought left us the approaches. Which allows us to deal with reality in accordance with the intentions of the noble Sharia.”

 He explained that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif throughout its history relied on a disciplined methodology that established true coexistence among the members of societies, which is: no exclusion or infidelity, in addition to self-discipline. Humanity with the Sharia sciences.

He pointed out that the moral aspect of purifying souls must be refined as it is an essential component of the disciplined Al-Azhari methodology that did not exclude anyone or make anyone unbelievers.

The Mufti of the Republic explained that: Ash’ari doctrine – It is the doctrine of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif – it does not deem anyone who utters the word “There is no god but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God” to be infidels, stressing that this approach of Al-Azhar contradicts the approach of terrorists who deem people infidels, and therefore the methodology based on the Ash’ari doctrine contributes to the stability of societies.

The Mufti continued. Al-Jumhuriya: Terrorists adopt the idea of ​​takfir, which justifies their killing, and this stems from approaches that completely contradict the methodology of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, which does not declare takfir whoever says there is no god but God.

He stressed the importance of the Al-Azhari methodology and the Al-Azhari environment in shaping the mind of the Al-Azhar student. And his conscience, the study of multiple opinions in jurisprudence, language, and belief consolidates the idea of ​​coexistence and acceptance of others in the Al-Azhari student, as well as his proximity to students of different races. All of these circumstances and components create a human being who is compatible and truly capable of coexisting with all visions.

In response to a question about the reward of reading the Qur’an, His Eminence said: Reading and reciting the Holy Qur’an is one of the best worships through which a person draws closer to God Almighty, and likewise Reading the Qur’an from the Qur’an has great merit, because the reward for it is double. Because of the constant consideration of the Holy Qur’an, indicating that God has commanded us to venerate the Qur’an, the Kaaba, and the saints.

His Eminence the Mufti explained that God does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. Whoever has mastered memorization or correct reading is better, and whoever is not able to read correctly. He was satisfied with listening only, and he would be rewarded for what Imam Muslim narrated in his “Sahih.” On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said: “The one who is skilled in the Qur’an is with the honorable and righteous travelers, and the one who recites the Qur’an and enjoys it; – That is, he reads it with difficulty – and it is difficult for him, for which there are two rewards.

Regarding the ruling on a menstruating woman reading the Qur’an and touching the Qur’an, he said: It is better to adhere to what the majority of jurists agree with, regarding the prohibition of reading the Qur’an and touching the Qur’an for menstruating women and postpartum women; Because of the sanctification of the Holy Qur’an, and a way out of disagreement. Whoever finds this difficult and embarrassing, and needs to read the Qur’an or touch the Qur’an for memorization, teaching, or working in teaching, then it is permissible for her to imitate the Malikis; One of the rules established in Sharia law is “whoever is afflicted with something concerning which there is disagreement, let him imitate the one who permits it,” and there is no sin or blame on her for that.

His Eminence the Mufti of the Republic concluded his dialogue by responding to a question asking about the ruling on entering bathrooms with phones. Smartphones that include an electronic Qur’an: There is no objection to entering bathrooms or bathrooms with phones that have Qur’an, supplications, or adhan tones recorded on them; Because the phone is like a human memory, but it should be set to silent mode, and also avoid placing verses as a fixed image on the phone screen if we are forced to take it to this place if it is not possible to put it outside.
