An awareness campaign about the procedures used in distributing meals "Fasting breakfast" In Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 4th April, 2018 (WAM) – The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, implemented an awareness campaign for restaurants in the emirate, with the aim of clarifying the necessary procedures for distributing “fasting breakfast” meals, to ensure the application of best practices and adherence to applicable laws and procedures.

The campaign included field visits to 38 people in the city of Abu Dhabi, in which inspectors from the Licensing and Social Control Sector in the Department of Community Development participated, along with inspectors from the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi.

Saeed bin Amr, Director of the Social Control Department at the Department of Community Development, said: “The awareness campaign comes in cooperation with the Department of Economic Development, to explain to restaurant owners and workers the importance of adhering to the regulations and procedures in distributing “Iftar” meals, as restaurants are allowed to receive requests to prepare Ramadan meals. He added: “The commitment of establishments that provide food to the directives and regulations and obtaining the necessary licenses contributes to organizing charitable work and helping needy groups in accordance with the best standards and practices, which enhances the building of a more interconnected society,” pointing to the importance of commitment to providing support and assistance to those in need in a safe and healthy manner that reflects the spirit. The humanity that distinguishes our society, especially during the holy month. Ibn Amr explained that the department is keen to enhance awareness and adherence to the laws and procedures in place in distributing donations and providing assistance, and stresses the importance of adhering to the social system that is based on legal regulations and procedures that regulate charitable works and the collection and distribution of donations, ensuring that they reach the needy in safe and secure ways and in accordance with the best health standards. And humanity.”

He added: “Through our cooperation with other entities, such as the Department of Economic Development, we seek to enhance the concept of social responsibility by adhering to licenses and proper procedures. Field visits have proven successful in providing the necessary information to restaurant owners and workers, clarifying the approved controls and standards, and encouraging them to adhere to them.” Which contributes to achieving our common goals of building an organized and interdependent society.”
