Iran’s guide holds prayers for those killed in the Israeli raid

On Thursday, Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei held prayers over the bodies of the seven soldiers in the Revolutionary Guard who were killed on Monday in a strike that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus and was attributed to Israel, on the eve of their funeral ceremony in Tehran.

Monday’s attack, which left 16 people dead, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, was the fifth to target Syria within eight days.
