The United States calls for an investigation into the killing of organized workers "World Central Kitchen" in Gaza
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called for the opening of an independent investigation to determine the reasons that led to the killing of aid workers of the “Global Central Kitchen” organization. In Gaza, during an Israeli strike that targeted the Strip this week.
Blinken said – in a statement reported by CNN: America Today, Friday – “Israel bears the responsibility to provide maximum protection for civilians, and we cannot then leave many people caught in the crossfire to be killed and injured.”
Blinken expressed his appreciation for the relief workers who performed what he described as “heroic work under difficult circumstances.”
José Andres, founder of the “Global Central Kitchen” organization, had been accused Israeli forces targeted the organization’s relief workers in Gaza; Which resulted in the killing of seven employees holding nationalities from Australia, Canada, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, in addition to a Palestinian with dual citizenship.
