'Stupid': Coach unhappy after Latrell's bizarre double act

Latrell Mitchell could face a suspension after he was put on report twice in the Rabbitohs’ loss against the Warriors.

The fullback found trouble in the 18th minute when he raised his elbow at Shaun Johnson who came in trying to make a tackle.

League legend Greg Alexander believed Mitchell was lucky to stay on the field for the incident.

“It’s a little bit more than a forearm, it’s almost like a swinging elbow to the head of Shaun Johnson. Latrell’s lucky, he could be sitting in the bin for 10 minutes,” he said on Fox League.

13 minutes later Mitchell was on report again after putting his hand between the legs of Tohu Harris and putting him in a dangerous position.

“Why would he do that?,” Alexander said.

Both incidents came with the Warriors leading 6-4, however the second incident gave the side plenty of momentum as they ran in two tries to lead 18-4 at half-time.

Continuing his criticism, Alexander was scathing of Mitchell for his controversial acts.
