Al-Azhar Mosque concludes the Holy Qur’an with the ten recitations
The corridors and courtyards of Al-Azhar Mosque witnessed, today, Sunday, a large turnout from thousands of worshipers, who were keen to perform the Isha and Tarawih prayers in its crowded expanses, on the last of the Witr nights, on the twenty-ninth night of the holy month of Ramadan, as they came from various governorates of the Republic, as well as Students from Al-Azhar from more than a hundred countries come to the mosque. Tonight, Al-Azhar Mosque concludes the reading of the Holy Qur’an in the evening and Tarawih prayers with the ten recitations, where an elite group of Holy Qur’an reciters from Al-Azhar leads the worshipers, and the media center For Al-Azhar to broadcast the prayer directly on Al-Azhar’s pages and platforms on social media sites and Al-Azhar Mosque’s page, with media coverage of all the mosque’s activities during the month of Ramadan.
The worshipers are led by His Eminence Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, and His Eminence Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, Dr. Atti Khidr, Head of the Sector of the Office of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Hani Odeh, Director-General of Al-Azhar Mosque, and a group of Al-Azhar scholars and leaders.
The evening prayer will be held tonight from Surat Al-Azhar. Al-Ala and Al-Ghashiya, narrated by Hafs on the authority of Asim, where His Eminence Sheikh Adel Mahmoud, a teacher of the Holy Qur’an in the Al-Minya Al-Azhar region, leads the worshipers, and Tarawih prayers are held from the thirtieth part, narrated by Al-Duri on the authority of Imam Al-Kisa’i Al-Kufi, narrated by Dr. Osama Hashim Al-Hadidi, Director General of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, and narrated by Ibn Wardan on the authority of Imam Abu Jaafar Al-Madani, narrated by Dr. Hamada Al-Sayyid Khattab, teacher at the College of the Holy Qur’an, and narrated by Hisham on the authority of Imam Ibn Amer Al-Shami, narrated by Fadila Sheikh Eid Kamel Barakat.
Al-Azhar Mosque continues its scientific and advocacy plan for the month of Ramadan under the guidance and sponsorship of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and it includes: (130 recitations – 52 afternoon meetings – 26 afternoon meetings). – Tarawih prayers at Al-Azhar Mosque and Al-Ba’uth City Mosque, 20 rak’ahs daily with the ten recitations – 30 lessons with Tarawihs – 30 gatherings after Tarawihs – Tahajjud prayers in the last ten nights – Organizing 7 celebrations related to the occasions of the Holy Month – 6,000 breakfast meals daily and 4,000 suhoor meals for foreign and Egyptian students, to reach Meals for more than 150,000 meals throughout the holy month.
