New part of our format Remember the…, which takes you back into the show business archives between offbeat or little-known anecdotes, fun facts and souvenir photos. This April 7, 2024, zoom in on former TV host Alessandra Sublet. 2 years ago, to the day, she left the small screen and her attractive contract with TF1 for a new career; like her colleague Sandrine Quétier.

The TV host is best known for hosting the first seasons from Incredible Talent, Love is in the meadow on M6, then C to you on France 5 and It’s Canteloup on TF1. She will then host Great Animators Competition before ending his career.

This time it’s final. […] I’m leaving my TV presenter costume. At TF1, it didn’t surprise them that much. In December, Ara Aprikian (program manager, Editor’s note) and I had a conversation. I told him I wanted to try new adventures. I have always had his support and I am attached to this channel. When I make a choice, it is because it is carefully considered. No argument could change my mind“, she explained to Parisian.

It’s on the set of the TV movie Handi Gang, broadcast on TF1 in 2022, that Alessandra Sublet really wanted to become an actress. She plays the mother of a child with a disability played by Théo Curin. “This new challenge thrilled me. Then, I wondered if I still had as much pleasure on a TV set. At 45, I can’t continue entertainment if my heart beats less strongly. I prefer to take a real risk to try different projects“.

In 2023, she is a lawyer in the film Commuters 2 on Netflix and is participating in the TF1 remake A boy a girl. The mother of two children, who lives near Cannes, does not regret her choice to have stopped her career as a TV and radio host. “I’ve been told that I’m crazy. But the good thing about me is that the more people tell me that my ideas are crazy, the more it’s a good sign.” she says to Ciné Télé Revue.

In 2023, she also launched into theater with her show Not all risks will taste like success, staged by Anne Bouvier.
