Honoring the Dubai Police team for the chair basket participating in"Nad Al Sheba Sports Course"
DUBAI, 7 APRIL / WAM / His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, honored the Dubai Police wheelchair basketball team that won first place for the second year in a row in the 11th edition of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, in addition to achieving the best scorer award from People of Determination went to Ashraf Abu Zeid, in addition to achieving the title of best scorer from Al-Aswaya, which went to Corporal Rashid Salem Issa.
This came during a meeting with His Excellency Lieutenant General Al Marri with Dubai Police teams at the Officers Club, in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Basit Ali, Director of the Sports Affairs Department, and a number of players.
Lieutenant General Al Marri praised the achievements of the Dubai Police teams in the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament and the positive results that came for the second year in a row thanks to the help of their heroes, expressing his appreciation for the participation of the Dubai Police teams in all tournaments, and their keenness to commit to physical training in order to maintain brilliance and achieve achievements. He called on them to continue to achieve positive results and achieve more sporting successes and achievements.
His Excellency appreciated the efforts of the Dubai Police Sports Affairs Department and its role in providing support to Dubai Police sports teams to participate in various local and international tournaments.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Basit Ali extended his thanks and appreciation to the Dubai Police General Command for its support and encouragement of the Dubai Police teams participating in various sports, stressing that the Dubai Police teams are always keen to achieve first places in local and international championships and competitions.
