"Al Habtoor" Crowned cup champion "Masters Polo"
Dubai, April 8 / WAM / The Al Habtoor team was crowned champion of the “Masters” Polo Cup, which was held within the Dubai Gold Cup series, after its victory yesterday over the “Dubai Wolves” team by half a goal, by 5 goals to 4 goals and a half goal, in the match. The final took place between them at the Al Habtoor Polo and Equestrian Club Stadium, and the championship competitions were held with the participation of 4 teams, and with a classification of 4 joules handicap.
The “More Ralph Stars” team also managed to defeat the “BBE” team by 7 and a half goals to 7 goals.
The tournament is the penultimate stop on this season’s agenda, as the polo season concludes at the Al Habtoor Club with the Dubai Cup, from April 15 to 20.
Osama Esmat, representative of the Al Habtoor Polo Club and Resort, crowned the winners, with the Al Habtoor team taking the title, the “Dubai Wolves” team taking runner-up, and the “More Ralph Stars” team winning the consolation cup. Al Habtoor’s player, Santos Iriarte, won the Best Player award, and Bora also won the Best Colt award.
For his part, Mohammed Al Habtoor, President of the Polo Federation, expressed his happiness at the success of the tournament, saying that winning and losing in the polo family does not concern us as much as performance, so we consider the four teams to be winners of the Championship Cup, because the level is high and meets our ambitions, and this confirms that UAE Polo is moving in the right direction.
