The Karate Federation organizes an international camp in Sharm El-Sheikh in preparation for the Premier League Championship in Cairo

Preparations are underway within the Egyptian Karate Federation to host the World League Championship “Premier League” For adults, it is scheduled to be held during the period from 19 to 21 next April, in the covered hall of the Cairo International Stadium.

The Egyptian Karate Federation announced the organization of an international camp preceding the championship in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh during the period. From April 11 to 17, with the participation of Turkey, Croatia, Russia, and America, in addition to Egypt, in order to provide the Egyptian national team players with the opportunity to increase their experience by training with different schools in preparation for the Premier League and the rest of the season’s tournaments.

The best 32 players in the international classification for each scale participate in the Premier League tournament, and the tournament awards important points that improve the players’ global rankings, as the first-place player gets 1,200 points.

< p>The President of the Egyptian Karate Federation confirmed that no less than 60 countries are expected to participate, meaning approximately 700 male and female players, and the Egyptian national team is expected to participate with 10 male and 10 female players at the Federation’s expense, out of 32 players who have the right to participate.

The International Karate Federation organizes 4 Premier League tournaments, the first in France, then Turkey, the third in Egypt, and the fourth in Morocco. These tournaments are of great importance as they have become a qualifier for the 2025 World Championship, which is scheduled to be held. In Egypt, therefore, the International Federation added the slogan “The Road to Cairo” In all the Premier League tournaments that are organized.

Al-Dahrawi explained: In addition to Egypt hosting the Premier League tournaments annually, and after great organizational success over the years, the International Federation granted Egypt the honor of hosting the 2025 World Championship. Which will be held for the first time with a qualification system based on the world rankings. The International Federation is advertising for the World Championship scheduled for Egypt 2025 by placing the phrase “The Road to Cairo” On all players’ allowances in classified international tournaments, as well as on all banners and advertising methods, which is in the interest of the Egyptian state.

The Egyptian Karate Federation, headed by Mohamed Al-Dahrawi, held a meeting with the technical staff. For the national team in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Saad, member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Karate Federation and Vice President of North Africa, Murad Assem, head of the national teams apparatus, Abdel Fattah El-Naggar, the technical director of the Egyptian national team for adults, Hani Qeshta, the coach of the Egyptian women’s national team, Kumite, Gomaa Salama, the technical director of the Egyptian national team for men and women, Ashraf El-Gazzar, Managing Director of the National Teams.

During the meeting, final arrangements for establishing the international camp hosted by Egypt in Sharm El-Sheikh were discussed.

The meeting also discussed the appropriate timing for holding the national team qualifiers to select the best players to represent Egypt in international tournaments during the coming period.

It is worth noting that the Premier League Championship Cairo will witness the return of Olympic champion Ferial Ashraf after a hiatus that lasted more than a year.
