The Prime Minister receives his Palestinian counterpart at Cairo Airport

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, received at Cairo International Airport, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is visiting Egypt today, a few weeks after assuming his new position.

The delegation accompanying the Prime Minister of Palestine included Wael Zaqout, Minister of Planning, and Ambassador Diab Al-Louh, the Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo.

 

It was held for the Palestinian guest. An official reception ceremony at Cairo Airport.

 

Following the reception, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly held a meeting with the Palestinian Prime Minister,  And his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development. 

 

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly welcomed the Palestinian Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation on their first visit to Egypt. He expressed his deep appreciation for choosing Egypt to be among the priorities of his foreign visits after being assigned to form the new Palestinian government. The efforts made by the Egyptian state to accelerate the pace of the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, in addition to the efforts made to reach an immediate ceasefire.

 

In turn, the Palestinian Prime Minister referred to the suffering of the Palestinian people in The Israeli siege that has been prolonged for years, in addition to the war  The brutal attacks launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip. 

 

 

He expressed his aspiration to bring more aid into the Gaza Strip, and also his aspiration for a ceasefire. Fire, expressing its regret for the attack that targeted the World Kitchen Organization, which resulted in an international reaction rejecting the Israeli attacks, stressing in this regard the need for the Israeli side to bear its responsibility as an occupying force in lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip and protecting civilians. 

 

He stressed the necessity of a ceasefire in light of the dangers of the continuation of the current war to regional and international stability. 

 

As expressed by Dr. Muhammad Mustafa   Aspects of joint cooperation between the Egyptian and Palestinian governments to support the Gaza Strip, develop infrastructure, and benefit from Egypt’s expertise in this field, especially in the electricity sector and new and renewable energy. 

 

The Prime Minister pointed out The Palestinian Authority noted that there is great cooperation between the two governments in several areas that are being discussed, including natural gas exploration and the prevention of double taxation. 

 

He also expressed his aspiration to discuss more areas Cooperation between the two sides once a ceasefire is reached in the Gaza Strip, praising in this context the remarkable Egyptian efforts in the field of economic reform.

The Palestinian Prime Minister addressed the efforts of the Palestinian Investment Fund in the occupied Palestinian territories, despite the current challenges; To achieve sustainable development goals, especially in the infrastructure, energy and health sectors. 

He also confirmed the existence of capabilities among the Palestinian people to achieve development goals, but the current political situation and the burdens placed on the Palestinian people by the occupation prevent them from achieving Comprehensive and sustainable development, especially in light of the violations committed by settlers in the West Bank, as well as the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. 

Meanwhile, he stressed  Dr. Mustafa Madbouly Egypt is keen to support the Palestinian brothers in achieving their development aspirations in light of the great potential that Egyptian companies enjoy in the field of infrastructure, especially electricity. 

In this regard, the Prime Minister pointed to the great progress achieved by Egypt regarding the economic reform program to achieve the development goals set by the Egyptian state, expressing the Egyptian government’s keenness to continue implementing comprehensive economic reform measures that enhance the Egyptian economy’s ability to face external economic challenges. 

During the meeting, it discussed Minister of Planning and Economic Development, the efforts of the Egyptian government within the economic reform program, especially the role played by the Sovereign Fund of Egypt in developing and properly exploiting the state’s assets and maximizing the returns from them.
