Japanese stocks decline ahead of US inflation data

TOKYO, April 10, 2017 (WAM) – Japanese stock indices closed lower at the end of today’s trading, while investors await the release of key inflation data in the United States of America.

The Nikkei Index closed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, down by 0.48 percent, equivalent to 191.32 points, to reach the level of 39,581.81 points.

The broader Topix index fell by 0.43 percent, equivalent to 11.9 points, to reach the level of 2742.79 points.
