Minister of Irrigation: Continue to raise the level of readiness of all ministry agencies during the Eid al-Fitr holiday
In light of the directives of Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, to raise the level of readiness of all ministry agencies during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, to activate emergency rooms in all governorates, and to take all necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of all departments across the republic to ensure the provision of the necessary water needs for all Beneficiaries.
The Ministry’s agencies continue to monitor the position of water levels and drainage, the condition of bridges in canals and drains, and the technical condition of lifting stations in various governorates during the Eid holiday.< /p>
Suwailem stated that the Ministry’s workers are present in their positions in shifts, to ensure that water reaches all beneficiaries, carry out irrigation shifts and balances on canals, follow up on levels and actions in drains, and operate lifting stations and periodic traffic over them. To check on the technical condition of the stations and immediately repair any malfunctions, with continuous coordination between the agencies of the Irrigation Authority, the Drainage Authority, and the Mechanical and Electricity Authority, to ensure the stability of levels at the stations’ suction and expulsion sites, and to secure drinking water needs during the Eid holiday.
