The Minister of Health praises the discipline of the medical teams at Kafr Shukr Hospital

 

  Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, directed to study the possibility of providing Kafr Shukr Specialist Hospital, affiliated with the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, in Qalyubia Governorate, with a cardiac catheterization unit, in order to provide high-quality medical service and make services available to a larger number of patients in the governorate.

This came as part of a series of surprise field tours conducted by the Minister of Health and Population to medical facilities in all governorates of the Republic, with the aim of controlling the health system and ensuring the quality of medical services provided to the Egyptian patient, and to determine the discipline of work progress and follow up on the implementation of the medical insurance plan for Eid celebrations. Blessed Eid al-Fitr. 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the minister began his surprise visit by inspecting the hospital’s emergency department, and listened to the son of one of the detained medical cases, who praised the speed with which the medical teams treated his mother, who She suffers from a sharp drop in blood sugar levels, and the speed of taking samples, laboratory tests, and installing solutions. 

He pointed out to the Minister to ensure the presence of medical personnel (doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and administrators), administrative commitment and discipline, and commitment to implementing the work plan and providing the service. Medical services in accordance with operating schedules and shifts, in addition to adhering to the referral and call-up plan and procedures established by the hospital to deal with major accidents if they occur and ensuring complete coordination with the concerned parties inside and outside the facility.

And “Abdul Ghaffar” noted: Until the Minister inspected the Children’s Reception and Observation Department, and reviewed case reports of children detained in the department, he directed the need to commit to providing all medical and laboratory services with careful follow-up of cases.

And “Abdul Ghaffar” continued: The Minister inspected the hospital’s emergency pharmacy, which operates 24 hours a day, in the morning and evening shifts, and was assured of the availability of a sufficient stock of medicines dispensed for emergency cases, directing the necessity of reviewing the number of pharmacists included within the hospital’s core force, in line with the actual need for work, and redistributing them if necessary. The need arose for that. 

Abdul Ghaffar pointed out: The Minister continued his tour by inspecting the nursery rooms for premature babies, which operate with a capacity of 15 nurseries, and listened to a detailed report on their health condition and the medical procedure followed for each case. He also inspected the pediatric intensive care unit. 

«Abdul Ghaffar&raquo added; The Minister was reassured that the hospital had contracted with consultants and specialists in various specialties from the universities of (Mansoura, Cairo, Benha, and Al-Azhar) and praised the hospital’s reception of bile duct endoscopy cases from the Nasser Institute, praising the hospital’s provision of emergency and urgent medical services to accident victims and patients referred from neighboring hospitals.

«Abdul Ghaffar» confirmed The Minister praised the regularity of the medical teams, the level of medical services provided to patients, the quality of security and hygiene services, and the hospital’s preparations to deal with alternative sources of electricity and drinking water, especially after his keenness to listen to the patients, who generally praised the health services provided in the hospital.
