The Ruler of Sharjah performs Eid al-Fitr prayers in Al Budaiya Musalla

Sharjah, April 10, 2017 – His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, performed this Wednesday morning. Happy Eid al-Fitr prayer in Al Badee’a Musalla in Sharjah.

The prayer was performed alongside their Highnesses by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, and Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department. Suburban Affairs, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Sharjah, a number of sheikhs, His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Community Protection, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Council. Consultant for the Emirate of Sharjah, and heads of local and federal departments and institutions.

His Eminence Dr. Salem Al-Doubi delivered the Eid sermon, in which he addressed the glorification of religious rituals and the joy of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr after the completion of the obligatory fasting of the month of Ramadan. In it, he called for maintaining family ties, honoring one’s parents, and communicating with colleagues, friends, and neighbors, as this constitutes great worship and spreads compassion, a good life, and good relations.

The preacher also urged the worshipers on the importance of adhering to acts of worship at all times, being keen to perform them and being happy with them, teaching their children about them, and benefiting from the lessons of great acts of worship and blessed religious occasions.

Al-Khatib discussed the value of knowledge, the importance of which Islam has emphasized, as it is the one with which nations and nations elevate and through which man learns matters of worship, in addition to the value of compassion, solidarity, and synergy between people in society and between them and their wise leadership because of the righteousness, goodness, and blessing it brings to society, the country, and the conditions of the people.

Al-Khatib prayed that the Almighty God would protect the Emirates and its people, maintain security and safety, and grant those in charge success for the good and welfare of society.
