Chinese satellite "Qiue Qiao-2" He successfully completes the communication tests with his orbit

BEIJING, April 12, 2017 (WAM) – The Chinese relay satellite “Queqiao-2”, which was launched last March into space, has successfully completed communication tests with its orbit.

The Chinese National Space Authority announced today in a statement that the “Xue Qiao-2” mission was completely successful, and that its platform and payloads are operating normally, and it can provide relay communications services for the fourth phase of the Chinese lunar exploration project and future lunar exploration missions for China and other countries.

The satellite successfully completed a communication test on April 6 with the Chinese lunar probe Chang’e-4, which is now carrying out an exploration mission on the far side of the moon. During the eighth and ninth of this April, it conducted communication tests with the Chang’e-4 probe. 6” which has not been released yet.

The Chinese satellite “Xueqiao-2” was launched into space on March 20 and entered the elliptical orbit specified for it on April 2, after correcting the course midway, braking near the moon, and orbital maneuvering around the moon.
