Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli dies

Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli died on April 12 at the age of 84 in Florence. reported newspaper Corriere della Sera. He worked in the fashion world from the 1970s until selling the rights to the brand named after him in 2015.

Cavalli graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, he tried himself as an artist, then a photographer, and in 1970 he presented his first collection at a ready-to-wear show in Paris.

He opened a jeans store in Saint-Tropez, France, where he sold altered jeans from other brands. Having fallen out of fame in the 80s, he reached a new peak of popularity in the late 90s, when his signature animal prints in the color of animal skins: leopards, tigers and zebras came into fashion.

Cavalli was married three times and had six children. ANSA Agency reportsthat he had been ill for a long time and in recent days his condition had worsened. The time and place of the funeral were not reported.
