Roskomnadzor blocked one of the oldest socio-political sites in Russia

Roskomnadzor blocked access in Russia to the publication’s website “Polit.ru“, accusing the editors of repeatedly posting unreliable socially significant information. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the department.

The blocked publication is one of the oldest in Runet. It was founded in 1998 by publisher Dmitry Itskovich, political scientist Kirill Rogov and political strategist Modest Kolerov.

What exactly caused the blocking of the publication is not reported. The editors did not comment on the blocking. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 10 thousand websites have been blocked in Russia, dozens of media outlets have been closed, and several hundred journalists have been forced to leave the country.
