Saturated emergencies in Strasbourg: the FO union filed a complaint against "no assistance to the person in danger"
To denounce the dysfunction of the emergency department at Strasbourg University Hospitals, the FO Santé union of Strasbourg university hospitals filed a complaint against X for “failure to assist a person in danger” on Thursday April 11. France Blue Alsace reports that a report had already been made three months ago to the Strasbourg public prosecutor, who did not follow up.
Christian Prud’homme, general secretary of FO Santé in Bas-Rhin, interviewed by France Bleu Alsace, believes that there is “a refusal to take responsibility”. He denounces the defective care in emergencies, “highlighted by the two deaths in March and September 2022”.
In December, the CHRU indicated to France Bleu Alsace that the two emergency department sites in Strasbourg accommodated on average “225 passages per day, involving 80 to 90 daily hospitalizations”.
