Asal qualifies for the quarter-finals of the Black International Squash Championship

Mustafa Assal overcame Frenchman Gregoire March in the Blackball International Squash Championship, after winning 3/2 after a marathon match between the players, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Blackball Championship.

Today in the Blackball Championship today witnesses 8 rounds, and Rawan Al Arabi won over Hana Ramadan  3/2 Fares Al-Desouki defeated the Frenchman Victor Croen with a score of 3-1. With a score of 3-0.

Nour El-Tayeb, ranked third in the world, also defeated Zeina Makkiwi with a score of 3-0.

 

Youssef Ibrahim achieved one of the surprises of the tournament. After defeating Welshman Joel Meakin, ranked sixth in the tournament, with a score of 3-1.

 

 Salma Hani, ranked sixth in the world, succeeded in reaching the second round of the tournament by defeating Salma Al-Tayeb, with a score of 3.

First seed Ali Farag qualified for the second round of the Blackball Championship by defeating Englishman Curtis Malick with a score of 3-0. The Blackball Championship will be held from April 11 to 16 at the Blackball stadiums.

The most prominent players participating in the tournament include Ali Farag, Mazen Hisham, Mustafa Assal, Joel McCain, Miguel Rodriguez, Nouran Gohar, Nour Al-Tayeb, Olivia Weaver, and Tiny Gillis.

 

Ahmed Al-Abd, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Black Ball Club, confirmed that he is keen to hold this tournament every year, despite all the economic challenges. This keenness comes to emphasize the importance of the role of the private sector in supporting and encouraging sports in Egypt.

 

Mohamed Raif, General Manager of the tournament and member of the Board of Directors of the Black Ball Club, also confirmed that the Black Ball Championship has become one of the most important international tournaments held in Egypt.

Raif expressed his thanks  To Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, the greatest supporter of Egyptian sports and his keenness on the success of all tournaments held in Egypt, including the Blackball Championship, which has become one of the world championships.

 

Raif also directed Thanks to Asem Khalifa, President of the Egyptian Squash Federation, for his support of the Black Ball Championship.
