Iranian Special Forces Seize ‘Israeli-Linked’ Freighter in Persian Gulf

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced the seizure of a vessel, which, according to their reports, is linked to Israel, Mehr news agency reported on Saturday.
They have released photos and videos taken aboard the vessel, presumably during the Iranian military’s boarding operation.
The agency specifies that the operation took place “in the Persian Gulf area on Saturday.”
Mehr clarifies that the vessel in question appears to be the container ship MSC Aries, flying the flag of Portugal. It is believed to be associated with a London-based company owned by an Israeli businessman.
