Launching the Dubai Energy Demand Management Excellence Programme

DUBAI, 13 APRIL / WAM / The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy launched the Dubai Demand Energy Demand Management Program for Excellence, which is a platform to honor and appreciate the exemplary efforts of institutions and individuals who have contributed to enhancing the future of Dubai through responsible practices in energy efficiency, water use, circular economy, innovation and the exceptional contributions that they have made. Promotes a sustainable environment.

According to a press release issued today, each of the categories represents a pivotal aspect of Dubai’s journey towards rationalizing energy consumption, from innovative green building initiatives to pioneering innovations in efficient cooling and more.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Council, stressed that the Council seeks, through the Dubai Energy Demand Management Excellence Program, to improve the use of energy, water and fuel and advance exceptional contributions in the field of energy efficiency, water use, sustainability and the circular economy.

For his part, His Excellency Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Council, said, “The program celebrates outstanding achievements in the field at the level of the Emirate of Dubai, which confirms the emirate’s commitment to the Dubai Demand Management Strategy, which aims to reduce energy and water consumption by 30% by 2030, in addition to the impact “The positive impact of reducing fuel consumption, which in turn contributes to achieving a sustainable future.”

The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy affirms the emirate’s commitment to the Energy Demand Management Strategy, an ideal approach that aims to reduce energy and water consumption and promote a more sustainable future.

The program highlights Dubai’s efforts and commitment to sustainability, and recognizes pioneering initiatives in the field of green buildings, efficient cooling, and much more.

The Council stated that the response to the program was great, as the number of entries reached 86 from the government and private sectors. The entries will be reviewed by a committee of experts to evaluate their impact and alignment with the Dubai Energy and Water Demand Management Strategy, and the winners of the program will be announced during the month of May 2024.
