Number 10 was a ‘flea-infested prison’, says former British PM

London: Downing Street was a prison infested with fleas caused by Boris Johnson’s dog Dilyn, former British Prime Minister Liz Truss has claimed in her new book.
Truss wrote that she spent her first weeks at work “itchy” due to a flea infestation at Number 10, the official residence of the country’s prime minister. Some believed it was the result of his predecessor’s dog.
She also compared herself to a “prisoner” when she lived in Downing Street, saying that “being trapped there” was one of the hardest things to get used to.
