A low-magnitude earthquake shakes the area surrounding the city of Naples, southern Italy

Rome, April 14 / WAM / A low-intensity earthquake shook the area surrounding the city of Naples in southern Italy and Mount Vesuvius today, according to the National Institute for Geophysical and Volcanological Research in Italy.

Reports stated that the epicenter of the earthquake – which measured 3.7 on the Richter scale for measuring earthquakes – was in the Campo Flegrei area, or the vast volcanic fields in Italy, west of Naples.
