Bayer Leverkusen is champion of the German League for the first time in its history

Leverkusen, April 14 / WAM / Bayer Leverkusen was crowned champion of the German Football League for the first time in its history, after its victory today (Sunday) over Werder Bremen 5-0 in the 29th round of the competition and 5 rounds before the end.
The goals of the match for Bayer Leverkusen were scored by Florian Wirtz (a hat-trick) in the 68th, 83rd and 90th minutes, Victor Boniface in the 25th minute from the penalty spot, and Granit Xhaka in the 60th minute.
Bayer Leverkusen’s coronation came after raising its score to 79 points, 16 points behind Bayern Munich, second, and Stuttgart, third, both of whom have 63 points.
By winning the title, Bayern Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich’s dominance of the title, which had continued for 11 seasons, as Bayern Munich leads the team with the most German League titles, with 33 titles, then Nuremberg with 9 titles, Borussia Dortmund 8 titles, Schalke 7 titles, and Hamburg 6 titles.
