Cooperation between "Adnik" And "Terrax" To develop recycled flooring to support sustainability in the events industry

ABU DHABI, 16 APRIL / WAM / ADNEC Group has entered into a partnership with Terrax Environmental Services Limited to develop the product “TerraTile”, a 100 percent recycled modular flooring system for events, on the sidelines of the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), which was launched. Manufactured entirely from waste and 100 percent recyclable materials, the product is a completely sustainable, circular product. Each Terra Tile product equates to more than five kilograms of recycled waste and represents a breakthrough in event sustainability, offering a practical and sustainable alternative to traditional flooring solutions. .

The Terra Tile product was designed by Terrax Company in Abu Dhabi. The product provides a durable and improved flooring design that actively contributes to preserving the environment. In addition, when Terra Tile reaches the end of its life cycle, it can be recycled to produce new ones.

The versatile Terra Tile product, designed and manufactured in the UAE, was also on display at the ADNEC Group stand at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), demonstrating its potential to support sustainability in the events industry.

The Terra Tile product will be used in events organized and hosted at ADNEC centers and is available for rent to exhibitors through the Trident Path, contributing to the group’s pledge to make its events net-zero carbon emissions.

Tracia Berenzi, General Manager of Terrax, said that the sustainable product Terra Tile was supported by a research and development fund worth 100 million dirhams, which was launched by “ADQ”, an investment and holding company based in Abu Dhabi, in 2022.

She added that the fund forms part of the “ADQ Growth Lab”, a community of innovators across the “ADQ” portfolio that recognizes the company’s commitment to accelerating innovation, research and development, with a focus on unlocking growth opportunities and enhancing added and sustainable value across priority sectors in the UAE economy.
