The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided a local and international platform for entrepreneurs from various countries of the world, on the sidelines of its participation in the activities of the World Future Energy Summit, which contributes to promoting sustainable development and taking measures to confront climate change.

This participation confirms the role of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in supporting environmental sustainability efforts and its efforts to encourage private sector establishments to contribute directly to addressing the repercussions of climate change, leading to building a more sustainable future for future generations.

Founders and CEOs of national and foreign companies participating in the platform, in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, during the work of the first day of the summit, stressed the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Chamber in providing the necessary support to them in order to enhance the launch of sustainability initiatives to advance the comprehensive development process witnessed by the UAE.

They said that this platform contributes to enhancing the exchange of experiences, highlighting best practices in the sector, and presenting the latest sustainable solutions and innovations, as well as being a good opportunity for them to establish partnerships and attract more investments.

Initially, Ibrahim Al-Hashidi, who is responsible for the Solabolic project, said that the company had developed a patent for solar thermal energy, whereby it concentrates the sun’s radiation to generate heat for water desalination, indicating that the developed technology is capable of being manufactured locally and has been tested with Al Masaoud Energy Company with the aim of converting all power plants. Desalination from the process of burning gas to generating heat from solar energy to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality.

Al-Hashidi added that the Abu Dhabi Chamber helped companies and provided them with the necessary support through its platform at the World Future Energy Summit, through which we can inform investors about our project, noting that the first day of the summit witnessed the interest of 5 large investment companies in our project, with them expressing their desire to participate in developing this project. Technology and introducing it to the local market and also exporting it to African countries.

For his part, Zain Al-Taweel, founder of the “Yellow” project, said that she succeeded in establishing the first sustainable and environmentally friendly brand through which pieces of vegetables and fruits, such as pineapple and banana peels, are used in the manufacture of clothes, noting that each abaya manufactured contributes to saving 6,700 liters. of water and reduce carbon emissions.

She added: “The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry invited us to participate in this platform and launch the ‘Yellow’ brand with the aim of bringing it to a larger and wider segment, in addition to helping us meet the largest number of investors to obtain support in the future.”

For his part, Majed Al Shoum, Regional Director of Ferrofax, said that participating in the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry platform during the World Future Energy Summit contributed to strengthening relations with many companies, in addition to getting to know large factories in the UAE that aim to apply our systems to them.

Nayef Al Shamsi, CEO of Thamara, confirmed that his company is specialized and supportive of the field of afforestation, as it works as an intermediary between the government and private companies, noting that the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry helped them present their project and meet investors in order to sign future agreements that enhance their business and contribute to the growth.
